(Washington, D.C., March 5, 2019) — The Humanist Legal Society has launched a new program linking its members to humanism-related continuing legal education (CLE) courses in partnership with the online learning center Humanist Learning Systems. The first course, entitled “Ending Harassment and Retaliation in the Workplace,” is available now via the Humanist Legal Society website. Through its partnership with the Humanist Learning Center, the Humanist Legal Society plans to make more courses available in the future, as well as to provide a platform through which Society members themselves can create courses and make them available to members.
“This is an exciting new opportunity for humanist lawyers to share valuable knowledge and perspective,” said Legal Society President David Codell. “Our online platform will be a useful resource for humanist attorneys seeking to learn or to teach.”
Humanist Learning Systems has had courses accredited for CLE purposes in both California and Florida, and numerous other jurisdictions accept CLE courses from out-of-state. Accreditation for courses in additional jurisdictions is expected soon.
