2024 Board of Directors Election – Slate of Nominees

The American Humanist Association is the oldest, largest, and only democratically structured humanist organization in the United States. Every two years AHA members vote to elect members of the board of directors, and the 2024 Nominating Committee has just announced the following slate of nominees:
Abby Hafer (incumbent)
Christian Loyo
David Breeden
David Orenstein
Ellie Haylund
Evan Clark
James Palmquist (incumbent)
Jason Wiles (incumbent)
Krystal Jackson (incumbent)
Luciano Joshua Gonzalez-Vega
AHA By-Laws provide that additional nominations may be added by written petition received by the Nomination Committee within forty-five (45) days after the Committee’s nominations have been published to the members of the AHA. The Committee’s nominations were published on June 28th, so petitions must be received no later than August 12th.
The petition of each candidate added through this process must bear the signature of seventy-five (75) or more members in good standing, no more than thirty-five (35) of whom shall be from any one Chapter or Affiliate of the AHA.
An eligible nominee is any person, age eighteen (18) or older, who, at the time of the nomination, has been a regular member of the AHA in good standing for at least one (1) year prior to such nomination, and is a current member.
Ballots will be sent to all current members of the AHA in September. If you are not a member, join today to ensure your right to vote in this election.
